Monket. Parse Issue?

Postby spambot » Mon Mar 06, 2006 4:31 am

Hi, not sure if this is the right place for this but any help would really be appreciated.

I've recently tried to install the AJAX application Monket Calendar from here. . inhttp://www.monket.net/wiki/monket-calendar It uses an older PHPIcalendar installation, but I think the problems, while dependant on the version, isn't complex. I just can't figure it out.

I'm having two issues first, and probably most important. I install, everything looks like the calendar on the site posted above, but when I hit the arrows for the next month, my server assumes this is an actual page. I think I've narrowed down the issues. Is this a rewriteengine problem (if so what would the proper rewrite code be?) A parser problem? Or simply that his code could be referencing something that has been updated?

Also, like this site, I am not able to save anything I have entered. I think the first problem may solve the second but I'm not sure.

Thanks, I know this isn't exactly this program, but I think it's a nice use of it (if it works) and will encourage further development on the php iCalendar programs.

Thanks again

I think you need to talk to the monket calendar developer. From my reading of the site you linked, they used phpicalendar's code base to figure out how to parse calendar files, but the display and navigation stuff is all their own.

Your username almost got you deleted, btw!

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid your answer is best. Unfortunately the developer is traveling the world until June or July. Luckily it's not that urgent. I'll play around with it more and post any positive results.

 about the username. I actually have had that happen elsewhere. I guess it's the price I pay for lack of creativity and an equal lack of developed sense of humor.

Hey, I am having the same problems as Spam is having. I solved one of them and it's with saving events.

As you know, the calendar works best with linux because of it's ability to access properties of files. What I suggest is that you change the properties of the monket files to read and write for all users.

As with moving from month to month, I am having the same problem. So any input would be appreciated.

We're unable to provide support for Monket. Sorry about that!
